Firstly, wear a petticoat that stretches from the waist down to the feet, and tie it tightly by a drawstring. Hold the plain end of the saree in your right hand and let the rest of the drape touch the floor. Tuck the plain end of the saree into the petticoat at the right side of the navel.
STEP 2
Take a complete turn from right to left and bring the drape to the front. Make 6 - 7 pleats, hold them together, and tuck them into the petticoat.
STEP 3
Take the loosened drape around from the left side, and bring it to the front from the right side.
STEP 4
Make 3 – 4 pleats from the loosened end of the saree by holding it in the front
STEP 5
Hold all the pleats close together.
STEP 6
Take the pleats over your shoulder, so that the drape falls behind you. The pleats may be pinned at the back of the blouse.
